Shooting a travel video for my 3rd year project has been in my head for a while now, I have an uncle who owns a guest house in wales, and another member of the family who owns a villa in majorca.
I could see both these people benefitting from a promotional travel video as a form of advertisement, meaning they are both potential clients from my third year project. Creating these promotional videos will require me to fulfill many roles that would normally be assigned to a small team:
Producer/Cinematographer
(Director if using models?)
Cameraman
Sound
Editing
I think creating a video for one of these destinations would be a perfect opportunity to practice all of the above techniques under the pressure of working with a live client. The lifestyle of travelling suits my personality, and having visited these places a number of times I personally know the selling points of each one!
